It's the event of the year for farmers, ranchers, and agribusiness in Amarillo.

The 2015 Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show will take place at the Amarillo Civic Center from December 1st until December 3rd. Doors open at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. (4 p.m. on Thursday).

The Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show has over 400 exhibitors, including Assiter Auctioneers, Atmos Energy, Bayer Crop Science, Gebo's, Texas A&M Agrilife Extension, Texas Beef Council, and more. This year, they will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Conservation Reserve Program. This program allows the removal of environmentally sensitive land from agricultural production.

The "Texas Commodity Symposium" is on Tuesday, December 2nd, in the Grand Plaza. Julie Borlaug is this year's keynote speaker. The symposium will conclude with the Ag Appreciation Luncheon, hosted by the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Ag Council. It is free to attendees.

If you are interested in the other events taking place, you can visit the Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show website.

There is a $2 fee at the door, which will be donated to local FFA chapters. Parking is free.

This is a great way to celebrate agriculture in the Texas Panhandle, so don't miss it.

Make sure you tune in to the Lone Star Farm and Ranch Report every morning Monday through Friday at 5:30 a.m.
