5 Restaurants That We Need In Amarillo [POLL]
I understand that Amarillo is not the “Big City.” I’m ok with that. But, we are not a small city either. When you go to other cities that are close to Amarillo’s size, it always seems like they have such a better selection of places to eat.
We have the “mainstays” of restaurants in Amarillo. While I enjoy the little “hole in the wall” restaurants that we do have here, I wish we had some restaurants that I always hit when out of town.
Here is a short list of restaurants that I wish we had here in Amarillo. Take our poll and leave your favorites in the comments below.
I know that we used to have one here and I loved it. That place always seemed busy and had my favorite dish of any seafood place. The cajun spicy crab legs were unbelievable. Now, any time we are out of town, I always have to go get an order. Joe’s, come on back to Amarillo. You are missed.
PF Chang’s is absolutely one of my favorite Asian food restaurants ever. From the delicious lettuce wraps to the spicy beef, it’s all so tasty. Pei Wei opened here in Amarillo some years ago and I remember being excited. After eating there I remember thinking “eh”. It was ok, but definitely no PF Chang’s. I think that if a PF Chang’s opened here it would be a huge success.
I don’t care what anyone says, Fuddruckers has dang good burgers. Yes, we have a Red Robin, but in my opinion it is now comparison. Not only is the atmosphere so much more fun, but the burgers and fries are leaps and bounds above most restaurants in Amarillo.
If you have ever eaten at a Ramono’s then you know that it is no Olive Garden. If you look at the picture below and your mouth doesn’t start watering, then there is no hope for you. This place is unreal. I’m a picky person when it comes to Italian food and there’s not much that compares to the Parmesan Crusted Veal Chop.
If you are a lover of seafood then you are very likely to like Pappadeaux. This seafood restaurant is a favorite all across the country and for good reason. High prices don’t run me off when it comes to this place. The food is absolutely amazing and makes up for the empty wallet. If this place came to Amarillo, you could probably say goodbye to Red Lobster, in my opinion. There is really only one other place in the country that I have eaten that I like better and that would be Legal Seafood.
