Now that October is here, a bunch of fun fall activities are happening.  This year the Amarillo Botanical Gardens would like to invite you out to PumpkinFest!

We are in the season of harvest and fall festivals.  The leaves are changing colors, the temperatures are getting cooler.  So what better than to have fun at PumpkinFest.

On Saturday, October 20th, the Amarillo Botanical Gardens are opening their doors for family fun.  Beginning at 1pm, there will be plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Adults can indulge on some food tastings partnered with adult beverages provided by Budweiser.  They can then head over and watch some gardening demos like how to make seed balls and composting.

Kids can enjoy some lavender lemonade and cookies.  Once their tummies are satisfied, they can go and enjoy some face painting, hands on gardening activities and pumpkin painting.  The kids will get to take home their own pumpkins.

The gardens will also be hosting a Scarecrow contest and pumpkin/gourd carving contest. Click here to find out official rules for the contests.

Admission is $20 for adults and kids 12 and under are free.  A great event to get out and enjoy the beautiful fall weather and have some fun.
