APD was called out to the North Heights area around 9 a.m. this morning.

They were responding to a call about shots fired in the area. About 10 minutes after arriving at the scene, the officers observed several shots hit the ground near them.

Nobody was injured by the gunshots. Right now, no suspect has been identified. APD is also unsure if the shots that struck the ground near the officers were intentional or accidental.

Police have requested that people in the area stay inside their homes. The have blocked off the area between NW 10th and NW 14th and Tylor and Monroe streets.
