Just when you thought you knew everything about the Jerry Sandusky scandal at Penn State, more information has come out. Things don’t look good for Penn State.
While we can argue about whether or not the right teams were playing, it was hard to argue with the excitement of the BCS bowl games so far. Three of the four were decided either in the last seconds of regulation (Rose Bowl) or in overtime (Fiesta and Sugar bowls), while the fourth (Orange Bowl) shattered virtually every bowl game record on the books for offensive statistics.

Urban Meyer has been hired as the head coach of the Ohio State football program, the AP reports. Multiple sources have estimated that Meyer, who won two national championships while coaching the University of Florida, will sign a multi-year contract paying him $6 million per year. Meyer, an Ohio native, will be formally announced at a news conference at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
Less than 10 days after being fired from a job he held for nearly 46 years, former Penn State coach Joe Paterno revealed Friday he has lung cancer. A statement delivered by son Scott Paterno said the cancer is treatable and doctors expect the coaching legend to make a full recovery.
