Austin Webb, ‘Slip on By’ – Song Review

Austin Webb's soulful new ballad 'Slip on By' will catch you off guard if you let it, and that's not such a bad idea. Webb sings a familiar, but not overdone, lesson about appreciating every moment we have on this Earth.

Granger Smith, ‘Silverado Bench Seat’ – Song Review

They don't come much easier to enjoy than Granger Smith. The Texas country singer's understated delivery is something of a trademark, and his latest single 'Silverado Bench Seat' doesn't stray from what fans know and love.

4 Easy Card Trick Decks For A Budding Young Magician [VIDEOS]

Recently a friend of mine told me that his granddaughter was getting interested in magic.

He asked if I knew of any tricks that were available for a young budding new magician.

Since magic is one of my hobbies, I knew a pretty good amount of some of the self-working tricks and a few that need minimal setup.

The cool thing is that tricks I'll mention are inexpensive and almost anyone can perform them. Magic can also help kiddos get over shyness, make new friends, help with hand coordination and build confidence, so that's an added bonus.

Here a four that you can check out to get your budding magician on the road to magic.

Kellie Pickler, ‘Little Bit Gypsy’ – Song Review

Kellie Pickler's new single 'Little Bit Gypsy' is a step back vocally, but not a step backward. There's no flaws in her performance, but her power is stifled when compared to her previous single.

Luke Bryan, ‘That’s My Kind of Night’ – Song Review

Luke Bryan's new single 'That's My Kind of Night' promises to be his most controversial release to date. The singer goes all-in on the country-rap style that -- despite loud objections from traditionalists -- is covering the radio like kudzu. He sounds both horribly out of place and right at home.

Jake Owen, ‘Days of Gold’ – ToC Critic’s Pick [Listen]

Be sure you're near a good, clean air source before you begin Jake Owen's new single 'Days of Gold.' Words like "uptempo" or "rockin'" don't even begin to describe the pace the singer keeps up for over three spellbinding minutes. 'Eight Second Ride' is a ballad comparatively.

Colt Ford (Feat. Jason Aldean), ‘Drivin’ Around Song’ – Song Review

'Drivin' Around Song' is Colt Ford's best chance for a radio hit, something the singer would likely be willing to shave his body hair for. Jason Aldean's chorus is smooth and memorable, and his presence on the track from 'Declaration of Independence' gives Ford superstar credibility.

Cole Swindell's debut single 'Chillin' It' isn't about the words or the musicianship. It's about the vibe and the sweet groove this Georgia-raised singer lays down patiently.

Blake Shelton, ‘Mine Would Be You’ – ToC Critic’s Pick [Listen]

Does anyone in country music sing heartbreak quite like Blake Shelton? 'Mine Would Be You,' the third single from 'Based on a True Story ...' adds to a strong collection of Shelton tracks that will rip your heart out if you don't try to protect yourself. The turn in the last verse is devastating.

Gwen Sebastian, ‘Suitcase’ – Song Review

Gwen Sebastian has grown as an artist since she was a part of Team Blake on 'The Voice' in 2012. Her new single 'Suitcase' shows new confidence and vocal power, without sacrificing her unique punctuation and delivery. Her pain is palpable.

Darius Rucker, ‘Radio’ – Song Review

Darius Rucker's new single 'Radio' is a perfect song for summer. The uptempo tribute to young love, open roads and, of course, the radio is familiar and easy to fall for, especially when powered by Rucker's unequaled exuberance.

Danielle Bradbery, ‘The Heart of Dixie’ – Song Review

Danielle Bradbery's natural sweetness pours through on her debut single, but 'The Heart of Dixie' isn't a perfect match for the 16-year-old. It takes years of experience to be a great storyteller, especially when the main character is going through something the singer hasn't. Her performance is admirable, but not memorable.
