You may not realize it, but there are actually a few fireworks shows happening in Amarillo this 4th of July. If you don't want to deal with the traffic at John Stiff Park, check out the other places you can enjoy the festivities!

John Stiff Park is always packed on 4th of July, and for good reason. They always make sure to have an amazing fireworks display there. This display draws much of the city to park along the lake and watch the show. This year there are some other places having their own fireworks shows if you would like to avoid all the hustle and bustle over at John Stiff.

Here are the places that having fireworks shows on the 4th.

45th & Bell
You can enter the park at the 45th and Bell entrance. If you actually want to park inside John Stiff Park, you had better get there really early. They have food vendors, snow cone stands, and other fun things going on in the actual park for hours before the fireworks start. You can also park in the Lowe's parking lot just West of the park and in the past they have also had food vendors and drink stands. We always bring sandwiches and a cooler of sodas.

What's more American than Baseball? Not a lot. This year there will be a fireworks display at the Amarillo Sox baseball game on the 4th of July. What a fun way to spend the holiday. Grabbin' some hot dogs, a few drinks, a baseball game, and then some fireworks. Talk about a blast! If you're planning on going here, make sure you get tickets early. You don't want to show up to a sold out stadium.

This year there is a new venue in the fireworks arena. The Tascosa Drive In will be having a fireworks show. They will be airing two family friendly movies (Despicable Me 2 and Monsters University) and will kick it all off with a 4th of July fireworks show. Who doesn't love fireworks, snacks, and movies?
