Old Mobeetie Music Festival is back for another year of fun! Check out the line up for 2016.

If you have never heard of Mobeetie, Texas, it's about an hour and a half west of Amarillo right around Wheeler. Population may be on the small side but they sure do know how to throw a big party!

On July 29th, 30th, and 31st, they will be hosting their annual music festival with some great bands, like the Larry Ford Band, Bob Giles and Music Mountain, That Bluegrass Band, Mustang Ramblers, The Texas Pearl snaps, The Swain Sisters, Garland Blocker and Blue Tradition plus more!

The Old Mobeetie Music Festival is held by the Mobeetie Jail Museum, which is exactly what it sounds like - a museum in an old jail! The jail was built in 1866 and has been restored to show off artifacts from Wheeler County, the oldest county government in the Texas Panhandle.

The actual festival will take place on the courthouse square.

Bring the whole family out to this three-day music festival. You can get a Friday pass for $10, Saturday pass for $15, or a weekend pass for $20, and Sunday will be free of charge and feature all gospel music. Children 12 and under free.

Food concessions will be provided by the Mobeetie Volunteer Fire Department.
