I have a Christmas tradition that I started over 15 years ago.  It wasn't something handed down.  It was something I started when I walked into a store and saw the most beautiful piece of a Christmas village.  I bought it and it started a tradition that I have kept.

Each year I add a new piece to the village.  It may be a new building, it may just be a new towns person, but I add something new each year.

My son loves our Christmas Village and he let's me know each year that we have to add a new piece and we start scoping the pieces out when the Christmas decorations go up.   This year we got a Fire Station.  Now, he also pointed out that we need a Doctor's Office and a Police Station and a Church.   So I think we've got the next three years covered.  He's super proud of the village in fact he lines his army men up in the village to protect it.

Now keep in mind this isn't the fancy expensive Christmas village, it is just something I started within a budget and it has grown over the years.  In fact, the table that I currently have the village on is almost too small.

Do you have a Christmas Village in your home?  If not what kind of Christmas Tradition or collection do you have?
