Clay Walker Shows Off His Rowdy Side in New ‘Jesse James’ Video

Clay Walker was raised right, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a bad streak — at least, that’s what his latest single, ‘Jesse James,’ is all about. Right in line with lyrics about wanting to let go and get rowdy, Walker’s music video is a perfect match-up for the tune.

The clip kicks off with a shot of Walker driving up to a church. With a cross looming in the background, the longtime country star sits in front of the church entrance and sings about being raised as a Christian and being baptized as a young kid. But like all of us, being raised right doesn’t prevent the country star from having a wild streak. Cut to a shot of Walker drinking in an old-time saloon, and you see exactly how he daydreams about getting in trouble.

With girls dressed as bar maids and the singer himself in a black cowboy hat and vest, it’s clear that Walker wouldn’t mind spending some time like the famous robber Jesse James. Basically, that means dancing with girls, taking shots, and robbing trains with his pistol in hand in his mind. By the end of the 4-minute video, everyone is waving a gun around and the country star is playing his heart out with his band. In his dreams, Walker walks out of the saloon doors and in the background you can see his face on a Wanted poster.

Of course, we all know that in real life, the ‘Like We Never Said Goodbye’ hitmaker is a good guy. This fourth single from his ‘She Won’t Be Lonely Long’ album proves that Walker knows how to kick back and have a good time — and the music video is just the icing on the cake.
