We're lucky enough to claim Ziggy Hood, a football player for the Washington Redskins. But did you know another professional athlete grew up in Amarillo?

Vic Black, who grew up in Amarillo, was a pitcher for two MLB teams.

He got his start in the major leagues in 2010 when he was the first round draft pick to the Pittsburgh Pirates and ended his career in 2015 with the New York Mets.
