It's that time of year again! Leaves start to change, everything is pumpkin spice-flavored, and there is a certain crispness in the air that can't be beat. But I think I speak for all of us when I say it's not truly fall in the Panhandle until the Tri-State Fair comes to town! If you and the family plan on attending the fair this year, we made a cheat sheet to make your fair-going experience a little easier.

Here is what you need to know!

  • Fair Dates and Hours

    The Tri State Fair will start Friday September 16th at 4 p.m. and will end on Sunday September 24th at midnight.

  • Parking

    Gates 1, 5 and 4 will be the main entrances for fair visitors. Gates 1 and 5 will have free parking. Gate 4 is a $5 fee.

  • Admission Prices

    Adults $10, Youth (6-12) $5, Sr. Citizens (55+) $5

    Mega Passes: Mega Passes include gate admission and carnival ride wristbands for each day of the fair for $70.

  • PRCA Rodeo

    The rodeo will be from September 22nd - 24th each night starting at 7 p.m. and will be $5.

  • Prohibited Items

    • Weapons of any kind, knives and fire arms especially
    • Controlled Substances
    • Any out side food or beverages
    • Bicycles, skates, roller blades, skateboards and hoverboards
    • Animals (except service animals or show animals)
    • Any and all items that are deemed dangerous by Safety Inspection Staff or Fair Staff
    • Drones
  • Pro Tips

    • Bring a comfortable bag to carry you items.
    • If you are coming in a large group pick a meeting spot in case someone gets separated.
    • Don't leave things in your pockets on fair rides. Items can fly out and be lost.
    • Always check your ride seat when you get up.
    • Bring cash
