It was inevitable that on tonight's (Oct. 8) first battle round of Season 3 of 'The Voice,' country coach Blake Shelton would pit two country acts against one another. He did just that with singer Gracia Harrison and the Ohio-based mother-daughter duet 2 Steel Girls, who of course remind us of the Judds.

It just had to happen for all to be right with the universe, especially since this type of battle is in Shelton's wheelhouse. For their epic face off (or is that voice off?) Shelton had the ladies offer up their rendition of the Dixie Chicks' song 'Sin Wagon.' Who prevailed and why?

First things first. It's a song with both fast and furious pacing, so it certainly made for entertaining vocalizing during both the mentoring and practice phases and the actual battle on the show. Shelton coached the ladies with grasping the melody, namely the small town Illinois girl Harrison, who struggled with preventing her notes from going flat.

When the live round finally began, the ladies were rarin' to go. It was an upbeat, loud and proud country throwdown between three ladies of incredible talent. However, Shelton was faced with a tough choice on who to upstream to the next round, since their work as a three piece was something else.

Due to her confidence and the playful nature with which she performed, Gracia Harrison got the bump up from Shelton.

2 Steel Girls were, ahem, gracious in defeat, complimenting Shelton on all that he taught them and on his ability to sing any and everything.

And it's a good thing that Shelton kept Harrison, since his bro Adam Levine was ready to pounce and steal her had she become available.
