This coming Saturday, May 12th the US Postal Service in Amarillo will be taking your donations to help out the High Plains food bank in Amarillo. You should have received a bag in your mailbox,  keep that bag and fill it with your donations of canned vegetables, soups, boxed dinners (i.e. macaroni & cheese, Hamburger Helper, cereal), rice, pinto beans.

You can even donate paper goods and personal hygiene items (such as shampoo, body soap, toothbrushes), then simply leave it by your mailbox this Saturday before 9am for the mailman or mail-lady to pick up!  They are asking that you do not include anything in a glass container.

This will not only be happening in Amarillo but in towns across the Panhandle such as Canyon, Dimmitt, Dumas, Friona, Hereford, Shamrock and Tulia.
