Jared & The Mill are premiering the music video for their twangy, upbeat new song “Keep Me Going” exclusively for readers of The Boot.

“Keep Me Going” appears on the self-described western indie rockers’ forthcoming EP, Orme Dugas, which takes its name from a highway exit in the band’s home state of Arizona, and centers around the fears of beginning a new relationship, especially when those involved are separated by a couple hundred miles. The track kicks off the same way that relationships do, with worries about whether or not it’s all going to work out.

“Sweet, sweet little voice on the ocean tide / Not a superstitious man, won’t pretend to know why / But you’ve taken me for hostage with your eyes / Green as the sea and raised by waves in the dead of night,” sings Jared & the Mill's lead singer, Jared Koselar, later musing, “'Cause if it's nothing more, then how am I to get along? / Oh, I’m lost without your voice to keep me going on ..."

Formed in 2011, Jared & the Mill -- Kolesar, Michael Carter, Larry Gast III, Chuck Morriss III, Josh Morin and Gabe Hall-Rodrigues -- have shared stages with the likes of the Zac Brown Band, Barry Gibb, Boy & Bear, the War on Drugs, the Wildfeathers, Cake, Flogging Molly, the Killers and Allen Stone. The band is currently out on the road, with upcoming tour dates in New York City, Minneapolis, Minn., and Denver, Colo. (see below for a complete list).

Jared & the Mill will release Orme Dugas on Sept. 9; the EP is available for pre-order on iTunes.
