Ever wanted to wear the crusty eyepatch of an American legend? Now's your chance!

John Wayne's estate is auctioning off memorabilia from his acting career that spanned more than 170 films.

Among the items for sale: the eye patch he wore in the 1969 film 'True Grit,' for which he received an Oscar. Pick up everything from The Duke's cowboy hats to his passport.

Heritage Auctions expects to sell items for $100 to $50,000 in Los Angeles this October.

The Western star died of stomach cancer in 1979, at the age of 72. Proceeds from the auction will go towards the John Wayne Cancer Foundation.
