Justin Moore Teams Up With Crown Royal for ‘Your Hero’s Name Here’ Contest

Justin Moore will once again support Crown Royal’s ‘Your Hero’s Name Here’ contest, where of-age fans can submit nominees who fit the “local hero” bill. The winner will have a NASCAR race named after them.

Moore says he is always careful about who he teams up with for contests and sponsorships, and talks about why he revisited this particular partnership in the video above.

Adult consumers can nominate their own personal heroes (21 or older, of course) for naming rights to the race, officially titled the ‘Crown Royal Presents the ‘Your Hero’s Name Here’ 400 at the Brickyard.’ Do you know someone who is a local hero? A firefighter? First responder? A do-gooder? Go here to submit your nominee. The deadline is April 14, after which five finalists will be named.

Fans will vote to determine the winner, who will be revealed in a special ceremony leading up to the race, slated for July 28, 2013. The race is the culminating event of the Crown Royal Heroes Project, an ongoing commitment to recognize everyday heroes who give back to their communities. This year’s race will mark the seventh time Crown Royal has awarded naming rights of a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race to an adult fan and the second year in a row that the Brickyard 400 has been renamed in honor of a hero.

The grand-prize winner will receive a trip to Indianapolis.

Last year, Moore participated in the same contest, with amputee/firefighter Curtiss Shaver winning. A farming accident cost him part of his leg, but he didn’t let that deter him. Instead he was inspired to go that route since local firemen had saved his life. In addition to a NASCAR race named after him Shaver received a private performance from the ”Til My Last Day’ singer. Talk about a dream come true.
