Kenny Chesney's "Noise" video is sensory overload. Images of protestors, celebrities walking red carpets, people taking selfies and getting lost in technology are at the forefront of the clip.

"Noise" was directed by Shaun Silva, and Chesney explains that the video captures what was in his head at the time he was writing the song.

"It really captured what I was thinking and the essence of how we can get lost in this fog and be drowned by all of it," the star tells Rolling Stone.

The video has clips of Donald Trump, the Kardashians and Paris Hilton all cut alongside images of political unrest, traffic jams and people getting Botox injections. There is so much "noise" going on that people forget the importance of disconnecting and being fully present with loved ones.

"I feel like in my own life that I've lost a bit of human connection," Chesney admits. "We communicate in such a fast pace, and there's this addiction to communication with all the devices we have. I notice it with my friends in our social time: if you have five seconds to yourself, you're looking at your phone to see if someone texted."

"We’re not preaching to anyone, we’re just making a statement about the way we live," he adds. "The message is to try to be mindful of it. If you love someone, tell them you love them. Don’t text it to them! There is so much life to be lived outside our phones."

By the video's close, things get peaceful as people unplug their laptops and other devices. A girl is seen frolicking through an open field, a group of friends go surfing, a woman is taking a drive with the windows down and a young child is playing in the sprinklers, all managing to successfully escape the noise.

"Noise" is the first single off Chesney's upcoming album Some Town Somewhere.
