It seems that Christmas came a little early for Lady Antebellum‘s Dave Haywood. With only a few days to spare in 2011, the guitarist officially got engaged to girlfriend Kelli Cashiola, who is a longtime friend of his.

According to PEOPLE, Haywood blindsided his lady with an especially festive proposal, spelling out “Will you marry me?” in Christmas lights. She said yes, of course, but only after the Lady A hitmaker picked her up from work on Music Row on Monday, blindfolded her and led her home, where a sea of sparkling lights awaited in her living room. On the outside of the house, he strung the big question.

Haywood’s relationship was only made public last month when he and Cashiola stepped onto the red carpet together at the BMI Awards, showing off their much-in-love glow for the cameras.

Though a date for the wedding has not yet been released, Haywood will be the last of the ‘We Owned the Night’ trio to marry — assuming he does so after Hillary Scott ties the knot with her fiance, Chris Tyrrell.

The band is currently on break for the holidays, though they will resume their Own the Night Tour next month. The second leg of the run kicks off in Tulsa, Okla. on Jan. 27.
