Luke Bryan just wrapped his latest headlining trek on the 2011 CMT Tour. Prior to that, he spent several months on the road with Tim McGraw, following that run with his own Farm Tour this past fall. Now that the holidays are approaching, Bryan will get some much needed downtime to spend at home with his wife Caroline and their two young sons — Bo (3) and Tate (15 months) — and he admits that balancing life and career can sometimes be overwhelming.

“A year ago, we couldn’t even talk about, ‘Well, we’re not going to go more than a week or two weeks or something [without seeing each other]‘,” Bryan recently told Country Weekly. “It’s been better this year, but right now we’re realists and we just try to balance it the best we can.”

While his boys are still pretty young, Bryan says that Bo has caught on to what daddy does for a living and the reasons behind his absence most weekends out of the year. “Bo knows when I’m fixing to take off, [and] Tate’s figuring it out,” said Bryan.

With the craziness of his life and career, do Bryan and his wife ever consider adding on to the clan? “We’re about 90 percent positive that there won’t be [any more children], but you never know,” he says. “We’d love to have a girl, but you kind of have to let the path dictate. Right now it seems unlikely.”

Bryan’s current hit, ‘I Don’t Want This Night to End,’ is No. 13 this week on the Billboard country singles chart.
