Martina McBride gave New Jersey fans a special treat this weekend when she debuted a new song called "Reckless," which just so happens to also be her next single.

According to Atlantic City Weekly, McBride was set to debut the track at The Arena in the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City on Saturday (Jan. 16). One fan captured 30 seconds of McBride performing the anthemic new song.

McBride spoke with Atlantic City Weekly about her forthcoming album where she revealed that this time around she isn't having a hand in the writing process.

“I haven’t had the need to write — I haven’t written anything that’s as good as what I’ve found from these amazing Nashville songwriters,” McBride says. “Nashville is a really special place — it’s a community of songwriters and producers and musicians. I’ve been able to find really great songs.”

McBride posted an image of herself in the recording studio last year about to lay down vocals for "Reckless," which was written by Sarah Buxton, Zach Crowell and Heather Morgan. She captioned the photo saying, "Starting my record today with a song that makes me cry in a good and grateful way."

No release date or title has been revealed for McBride's upcoming album. It will be her 13th studio release and the follow-up to 2014's Everlasting which was an album of soul and R&B cover songs including Sam Cooke's "Bring It On Home to Me" which she duetted with Gavin DeGraw, the Supremes' "Come See About Me" and Aretha Franklin's "Do Right Woman, Do Right Man," among others. Her last studio album of originals was Eleven in 2011. The next album will be released on Nash Icon Records.
