Arguably one of the best 1st baseman in the Major Leagues today has one of the highest contracts ever for a first baseman.

Albert Pujols is banking it right now. The former Cardinals first baseman is on pace to beat the all-time home-run record faster than any Major League Baseball player in history. Plus he has won 2 World Series with his former team the St. Louis Cardinals.

There were 3 teams after Pujols during contract negotiations, the Florida Marlins, my team the Chicago Cubs and Pujols new team the Los Angeles Angels. Back in 2003 the Angels were sold for 183 Million to the teams new owner, and Pujols 10-year contract is 250 Million.

Pujols will make $183,000 a day during the regular season (183 days), or $68,000 a day for 10 years.
