Zack Brown (not from the Zac Brown Band) from Ohio went to a fundraising website to get $10 so he could make nothing more than potato salad. But ended up getting way, way more than that!

The fundraising site is called Kickstarter, which according to them it's "a new way to fund creative projects!" If making potato salad is considered a creative project, I need to start one so I can get funded for making enchiladas.

Zack's campaign was simple, from the Chicago Tribune:

(Zack) launched his potato salad campaign with this simple goal: "Basically I'm just making potato salad. I haven't decided what kind yet."

He now has over 6,000 backers on his campaign and over $50,000! But get this, his fundraiser doesn't end for another 17 days.

Zack says once the campaign is over he is going to make his potato salad, the rest of the money will go to charities of his choice. Way to go Zack! I'm sure that will be the best potato salad you will ever eat! Mmmm...
