Maybe they were all on the naughty list, but 100 kids got one hell of a ride when the Polar Express train jumped the tracks in Utica, NY Thursday.

The "Polar Express" takes children to a replica of the North Pole to meet Santa. It's inspired by the picture book of the same name, about a doubting boy who regains faith in the spirit of Christmas during a magical train trip to the North Pole.

It may have been less than magical but the kids on board still got that visit from Santa. He came to visit while everyone waited for buses to take them back to the station since it was too dark and too far to walk. And it looks like it takes more than a  derailed train to ruin Christmas for these kids.

Liam Hartnett-Weare, 6,  told The Post-Standard: "It was cool.
