This year has been a wonderful year rain wise.  We really haven't had much to complain about until recently.  The temperature has risen and the rain has stopped.  That led Randall County to issue a 'Burn Ban.'While the beginning, and most of the summer, we were blessed with an abundance of rain, we have hit a stopping point.  Not only has the rain ceased, but the temperatures have risen.

Randall County was so concerned they issued a burn ban.  This means that you cannot have outdoor fires within the County lines.  The Commissioners Court in Randall County believes outdoor fires could cause a public safety concern, so they will not be allowed in the county for at least 90 days.

The ban will be in effect today, September 29, 2015 through December 28, 2015.  It is possible that the ban will be lifted before then, but as of now, outdoor fires are prohibited.

So be mindful of the burn bans in your area.  We want to make sure we always put safety first when dealing with fire whether a burn ban is in effect or not.
