Are you anxious for Rascal Flatts‘ new music video for ‘Come Wake Me Up’? Well, the wait isn’t quite over, but to tide us over, the guys have delivered an intimate look at production of the video, which was filmed on-location in Nashville last month.

“The location is just amazing. The pool is beautiful — the home is beautiful,” says lead singer Gary LeVox of the ‘Come Wake Me Up’ set. “I just can’t wait to get the video done.”

Guitarist Joe Don Rooney flexes his acting muscles in the clip as the video’s dashing leading man, his first leading role in a video. A cameo from Rooney’s real-life wife, Tiffany Fallon, as his gorgeous love interest gives the video a realistic angle. Two-time female street freestyle world champion Dena Sodano also lends her talents as Fallon’s stunt double during the dramatic motorcycle scenes.

“So I had this story unfolding, this moment of — here’s a girl who really is just from a different world than what he’s from,” says video director Shaun Silva. “Joe Don’s character is doing all the things anybody would want to do for someone they love, but it threatens her identity, until one night after an argument, she removes a necklace like breaking free from his lavish grasp. Her decision to leave, and his to chase after her, only pushes her further towards her foreshadowed fate.”

‘Come Wake Me Up’ will make it’s proper debut on Aug. 10 at 6AM ET on CMT.
