Road Construction Happening All Over Amarillo This Week
The thing that irks me the most is being in a hurry and getting stuck in a construction zone. And this week there is going to be construction all over Amarillo, so here’s a heads up.
Blake and his entourage have given me the task of finding all the road construction zones for this week. You know, so when they hit the streets they can avoid all these roads. So here is what I have found.
- On the I-40 frontage roads, TXDOT will be doing fog sealing so expect lane closures in both directions from the Interchange to the Oldham County line.
- On I-40, they will be doing patching so expect lane closures in both directions from the Interchange to FM 1912.
- More patching on Loop 335 (Hollywood Road), expect lane closures in both directions fromI-27 to Grand Street.
- On I-40, expect lane closures in both directions from the Oldham County line to the Carson County line for shoulder work.
Hopefully this will help you when you hit the road this week.
And don’t forget to go and see Blake and his entourage hanging out at Bernard’s Advanced Collision, 800 S. Buchanan in downtown Amarillo. They will be there tomorrow from noon to 1pm getting you signed up for a free windshield.
You can also see the guys this Friday at First Bank Southwest on 45th and Teckla. They will be out there from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm for the party in the parking lot. The High Plains food bank will be on hand accepting donations. If you bring a non-perishable food item, they will feed you lunch.
And while you are on your way to see Blake and his crew, remember which streets to avoid for construction!
