An 18 year old girl lead the Amarillo Police on a stolen vehicle police chase yesterday that ended in a blown tire and wreck. The vehicle was warming up in the owner's driveway on the 2000 block of S Fairfield in Amarillo, when the female decided it was the perfect time for a joyride. A routine traffic stop transformed into so much more today in Amarillo. Amarillo Police officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at the 1500 block of S Grand. Both a male and female suspect we arrested after APD officers located numerous items that appeared to have been stolen. How does something "appear" stolen? I wish I had an answer for that.
