Meet Stubbs, a sassy cat who has recently rocketed to fame. As mayor of Talkeetna, Alaska, he attracts visitors from far and wide, hoping to catch a glimpse of one of the longest serving mayors in the US.
Known locally as “Mayor Stubbs,” the feline’s popularity is undisputed: he has 1,000 friends on Facebook, which exceeds the town’s 900 residents.
The word is out amongst stray pets: Miranda Lambert‘s house is the place to be. The singer welcomed yet another stray over the weekend. This soft white kitty just showed up at the home of Lambert and husband Blake Shelton and brightened the ‘Baggage Claim’ singer’s day.

Recently we uncovered video footage of what the Guinness Book of World Records says is the longest cat in the world. She’s 48 and a half inches long and belongs to a couple in the US.
But last night on ’Conan,’ Conan O’Brien disputed the couples’s claim and showed viewers the actual longest cat in the world.
In yet another amazing tale proving some animals are more compassionate than human beings, we humbly submit Jolie, the heroic mama cat.
Jolie calls England her home, and when she was pregnant, some cruel dolt tossed her out of a moving car. She survived, and a kind soul fed her and eventually confined her in a rural area before calling the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
This possibly titanium-clawed feline scales right up a kitchen wall while in pursuit of an elusive laser pointer. Then, as if to proof its amazing climbing abilities weren’t just some fluke of adrenaline, the cat holds on, five feet high, for a good three seconds. Check out spider cat below.

These two adorable buddies prove they’re species-blind as they romp and play, and the kitty seems completely undaunted to be engaging in horseplay with a competitor well above his weight class.

All our animals are able to spend more time outside enjoying the warmth and fresh air. Just remember it is also the beginning of flea and tick season and allergies.
I know we have enjoyed this wonderful weather for the past couple of weeks and hopefully soon we see it coming to an end.
