Taylor Swift isn't just a megastar here in the States, she's a sensation all across the world and she proved it when she broke a Chinese record.

Strong fan-demand urged the singer to take her Red Tour across the ocean -- to Asia. In February, the singer announced she'd be taking her tour to places like Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. Saying there was a demand is a understatement, since the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer was able to sell out a big Shanghai venue -- in one minute.

Swift sold out Shanghai's Mercedes-Benz Arena, which seats about 12,000 for a concert, in sixty seconds following the release of her tickets. This is the fastest ticket sale in Chinese history!

Swift's Asian leg of the Red Tour kicks off in May and ends in June. She's also got dates in Tokyo, Japan, Jakarta, Indonesia, Manila, Philippines, Bangkok, Thailand, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Singapore. Her tour has been such a big hit it's also made stops in North America, Australia, New Zealand, London and Berlin.

Fans hoping for the tour to come back to North America will have to wait. She has no U.S. or Canadian dates on the books, although she has been said to be working on new music.
