Taylor Swift may be one of the biggest superstars in the country ... world ... okay, universe, but even she doesn't always feel like she fits in -- and according to her, that should be the least of anyone's worries. In this hilarious outtakes clip from her sensational 'Shake It Off' music video, Swift gives fans an inside look at the production and her take on feeling cool.

The clip is from the cheerleader portion of the video, and Swift looks gorgeous in a bouncy blonde ponytail, bright red lipstick and a cheer uniform, complete with pom poms. But despite her preppy look, she admits the video is geared toward the outsiders -- those who are less 'cheer captain' and more 'on the bleachers.'

"A lot of people who I think will relate to this song are people who are dealing with not ever really feeling cool with themselves, because other people make them feel like they don't fit in," the starlet shares. As she drops her poms, steps out of formation and eventually just shakes it off-beat, Swift opens up about her own feelings of not fitting in.

"One thing I learned in this whole process is you can get everything you want in life without ever feeling like you fit in," Swift says. "Selling millions of records doesn't make me feel cool; it makes me feel proud and like I have a lot of people on my side and I've worked really hard. But I don't think it's the most important thing in life to fit in."

She adds candidly, "I think it's the most important thing in life to dance to the beat of your own drum and to look like you're having more fun than the people who look cool like they fit in."

And fun she had, as displayed by the numerous outtakes and interviews shown in this fun clip. She even performs a few stunts with the rest of the cheerleaders, including a basket toss, deadpanning, "It's really terrifying to know you're going to be thrown up in the air, but they always catch me, so that's good."

"This is the most exciting video I've ever done. I'm so excited," says Swift.

Swifties will be waiting anxiously for the next outtakes video, which is promised to be soon. Her next album, '1989,' will be a completely pop-inspired record. It streets Oct. 27.
