Rising country singer Tegan Marie took over Taste of Country's Instagram on Friday (Dec. 16), letting fans in on her life behind the scenes as she ran around Nashville all day, seeing the sights while in town to record some Christmas music.

The 13-year-old rising country star was in the studio at Black River Entertainment in the video above, in which she takes a moment to address her fans directly.

She spent the entire day hitting different locations in Nashville, posing by a Christmas tree, and going to the capitol building to show fans the enormous tree there. She also posed by a downtown landmark, a huge old-timey microphone that she playfully sang up into, captioning the photo, "How I record all my vocals when I'm in Nashville."

Marie also posted a very special acoustic rendition of "Santa Baby" before calling it a day, wrapping up with a thank you to her fans for spending the time with her.

A native of Flint, Mich., Tegan Marie has received a great deal of attention for a number of covers she has posted online, including a rendition of Florida Georgia Line‘s “H.O.L.Y.” that made them “misty-eyed.” The young singer got to perform at the CMA Music Festival in June of 2016, and she also made her national television debut in August by singing “Lucky Me” on Good Morning America

Marie sang the national anthem before the U.S. Women’s Soccer team’s final home game prior to the Olympics, and she's opened for Hunter Hayes and Cassadee Pope, among other high-profile gigs.

Keep up with Tegan Marie at her official website, or by following her on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
