On May 11, 2014 wildfires spread through the city of Fritch destroying or damaging over 2500 acres of land and over 130 homes and buildings.  The residents of the Panhandle came together to help their fellow men, women and families, who lost their homes.  We were able to send a moving truck full of supplies to the area a few days after it happened.  After that we teamed up with our friends at ProNews 7 and Toot N Totum and you, to help raise money for the Fritch Fire Relief.  Let me just say you stepped up to the challenge.  Your generous donations totaled over $35,000 for the relief efforts.

All 73 Toot N Totum stores in the area, collected donations from their patrons and they also agreed to match donations up to $10,000.

Yesterday, all donations received were presented to the Salvation Army of the Texas Panhandle, and The Texas Panhandle Chapter of the American Red Cross.  Those donations will specifically go to help in the Fritch Fire Relief.  Each organization received $17,711.

This is the one thing I love about our city and the Texas Panhandle area.  We all come together when a tragedy like this happens.  Our area is full of love and caring people.
