The Best Things About The Circus -Amy’s Top 5

The lights go out, the crowd hushes, anticipation builds, and then....the show begins!  The applause are deafening as the ringmaster makes his way into the spotlight.  I love the circus and here are my top 5 reasons for going time and time again.

Nothing reminds me of being a child quite like the circus. No worries, just fun.  There are many reasons that I go, but here are my top 5!

1. The Animals

While part of me feels sorry for the circus animals, another part looks in awe as they prance around so gracefully.  These majestic creatures are amazing and proudly show their personalities.

2. Clowns

The clowns always bring a smile to my face.  They are always dressed in colorful attire and have the most witty and silly antics.

3. The High-Flying Acrobats

From tight rope walkers to trapeze artist are always a favorite.  The way they fearlessly soar in the air leaves me speechless.

4. Cotton Candy and Popcorn

Nothing says circus quite like cotton candy, popcorn, and other yummy snacks.  You can get cotton candy just about anywhere, but it tastes better at the circus. :)

5. The Excitement in the Children's faces

There is nothing like an ear to ear grin on a child's face.  I don't know if it is the lights, the crowd's reaction, or just the unknown, but the circus always brightens a child's face.  This is the best part of the whole show.  Looking around and seeing the children excited and in awe!

All these wonderful things keep me going to the circus time and time again.  August 1st -4th, the Ringling Bros. and Barnum Bailey Circus-Fully Charged will be at the Amarillo Civic Center and I can hardly control my excitement.  The greatest show on earth in Amarillo.
