The Big Cheese – A Mac and Cheese S-mac-k Down Benefitting the Hope and Healing Place

What is one of the most popular comfort foods?  Macaroni and Cheese!  Who doesn't love those cheesy noodles.  They just make you feel so warm inside.  Now I've heard of chili cookoffs, BBQ cookoffs, even fajita cookoffs, and now we get to experience a mac and cheese cookoff.

WHAT: The Big Cheese

WHERE: Polk Street United Methodist Church, 1401 S. Polk

WHEN: Friday, January 30th, 5p-8p

COST: $10 per adult/$5 per child in advance - $15/$7 at the door

Over 17 restaurants will be competing for the best Mac and Cheese, in People's Choice, Kid's Choice, and Judge's Choice.  You will get to sample all the delicious entries and pick your favorite.

Plus, several desserts will be available to sample as well, most of them centered around cheese (think cheesecake!!!!).

The kids can enjoy a fun play area where they can create macaroni art and paint with cheese.

You and the entire family can cheese it up in the "Say Cheese" photo booth.

Plus, you have the opportunity to take home your favorite dish at the More Cheese Please Silent Auction along with other great cheese related item.

The Hope and Healing Place  is a grief center that helps people in the Texas Panhandle face the aftermath of a death of a loved one.  The center offers different programs including family programs, adult/individual programs, outreach program, pregnancy/infant loss groups/ survivors of suicide educational programs and more.
