Earlier this week General Motors recalled nearly over 293,000 Chevrolet Cruze compact cars here in the U.S.

The power-assisted brakes on the chevy cruze cars were failing to work, in rare cases drivers have had to put extra pressure on the brake pedal to make a stop. This was causing low-speed crashes around the US, but no injuries have been reported yet.

The recall affects Cruzes from 2011 and 2012 model years, which the cars were being built out in Lordstown, Ohio. If your car falls under these circumstances, General Motor dealers will replace the switch in the power brake vacuum pipe assembly for free. Safety first!
