A former River Road ISD band director is under investigation of claims he supplied alcohol at a high school party.

Melvin Evans resigned in late September as the band director for River Road High School. Evans has allegations against him for providing alcohol to minors.

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission is currently investigation the allegations, they will be gathering witness statements for the next 30 to 60 days.

If convicted, Evans could face up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.
