Just 16 months ago the wind energy company Zarges is pulling it operation out of Amarillo for good and moving back to the company headquarters in Germany.

The move comes after the company has suffered from the tough economic times that the US has gone through in the past few years. Another major reason is because they were competing against the low prices from natural gas.

This will put nearly 40 workers out of a job, the company had planned to have 100 workers by this time but never met their goal. The building which cost 4.75 million to make is now vacant, but according to the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation the building is already drawing some interest to potential future company's bringing new jobs to Amarillo.
