Nashville is Thomas Rhett’s home away from home, and coming home brings big crowds. Due to the quick sellout of the previously-planned Music City show on his Home Team Tour, the Georgia native has added a second stop at the Ascend Amphitheater, one day before the original.

Tickets for Rhett's second Nashville show, which will take place April 20, 2017, go on sale Dec. 9.

“I’m blown away that we’re adding a second show in Nashville,” he says. “I grew up seeing my favorite bands and a lot of my heroes play here. So, to headline my first Nashville tour stop with not one, but two nights is pretty wild. I know having so many fans, friends and family there is going to make it a really special couple nights.”

Rhett is bringing with him buddies Kelsea Ballerini, Russell Dickerson and Ryan Hurd for the full Home Team run, which kicks off Feb. 23 in Michigan and promises to be a wild ride.

The singer-songwriter recently released a deluxe edition of his hit album Tangled Up, which houses his most recent single, "Star of the Show." His sentimental ballad inspired by his wife, “Die a Happy Man,” won Single of the Year at the 2016 CMA Awards, where he also performed the song.

“The fact that the song did what it did, and we’re still here almost a year later, winning an award for Single of the Year, is crazy,” Rhett said backstage after the win. “This was such a special night. I’ve always wanted to win a CMA award, so to win for a song that means so much to me is a dream come true.”

Rhett’s wife Lauren is often the subject of his art, and even appears in the video for “Star of the Show.” The pair have known each other since the first grade and were married in 2012.
