Two Teenagers Arrested For Multiple Auto Burglaries In Amarillo

Amarillo police were able to locate two teenagers for multiple auto burglaries.

Charles Richard Hickenbottom, 19, was arrested early Wednesday morning along with a 16 year-old for numerous auto burglaries around Amarillo.

Hickenbottom was arrested on charges of auto burglary and theft over $1,500, the 16 year-old was taken to the Youth Center of the High Plains.

According to ConnectAmarillo.com "At about 2:20 a.m., Wednesday, police were called to the 5700 block of Wabash on the report of an auto burglary."

Officers were notified that a dark colored SUV was seen leaving the area. Different officers were on calls earlier in the night on auto burglaries and a dark SUV was involved in those also.

Officers made a traffic stop on a green colored suburban with the suspects inside on 34th & Western and found numerous stolen items inside of the vehicle.
