Saturday (April 28) will surely be a day in Tyler Farr‘s career that he will always remember. That is the night that the newcomer will walk onto the prestigious stage at the Grand Ole Opry, where many of the biggest country music stars of all time have stepped foot throughout their careers, including Farr’s own biggest hero, George Jones.

During his time slot at the Opry on Saturday, Farr will perform his debut hit single ‘Hot Mess,’ which was penned by the famed writing trio the Peach Pickers (Rhett Akins, Ben Hayslip and Dallas Davidson).

“One of the most influential experiences in my life was the first time I went to the Opry,” Farr said in a statement. “What made it so special was that I was backstage with my stepfather standing next to George Jones. As he sang ‘He Stopped Loving Her Today,’ my arms filled with goosebumps. It was then that I knew the Grand Ole Opry was the heart and soul of country music.”

“My Mom married George Jones’ lead guitar player when I was about 16,” he continued. “I started going on the road with them, and I got to hang out with my stepdad at sound check. During the show I remember standing on the side of the stage and watching him sing, and that was the musical spark for me.”

Fans who will be in the Nashville area on Saturday can log onto the Opry’s official website to order tickets for the memorable night. Those who cannot make the show in person can still check it out online by clicking here.
