The devastating EF5 tornado that moved through Moore, Oklahoma killed 24 people and injured dozens more. Photos from the path of the tornado shows nothing but debris everywhere. From the ground view it looks like houses and buildings that once stood were never there.

In the video below you can see the beginning of the tornado, it started out in Newcastle, Oklahoma and moved to Moore. In the video you can hear the radio, the on-air people are looking at the same thing describing what they see.

Water adds so much to a garden. And while ponds and pools are nice, the trickle and splash of an active fountain breathes fresh air and even a bit of a mystical quality into your garden oasis. When it comes to choosing or building a fountain for your garden, there are many options available to you. Some of these options can be quite complex (if you so desire), but they don’t have to be.

Depending on your time, budget and level of building skill, you can erect a fountain to rival the best in Rome (okay, that might be pushing things a little), or perhaps something a bit more humble, yet still full of outdoor charm. Here are a few ideas to help you along your way in creating the fountain you desire:

Wall Fountains

Wall fountains come in all shapes and sizes. They’re great for larger gardens and smaller ones alike. Classical designs abound, as do sleek styles with modern-looking curtains of water streaming down glass, stone, rock and brick, or even open air. There are plenty of guides online that can help you build your very own wall fountain, but f you’re not into building one from scratch, there are kits you can buy or already-completed fountains. Of course, you can always call a contractor and have him or her install the fountain for you. No matter what course you choose, a wall fountain is almost guaranteed to help you enjoy your garden even more.

Three-Tier Fountain

You can pick up a three-tier fountain, which can be reminiscent of something you might find in a colorful courtyard in Seville, Spain, for under $400. If you want a bigger “splash” for your buck, you can always dish out some extra money for an even grander fountain. Why limit yourself to the traditional three-tier design when you can opt for four or five tiers? Regardless of the number of tiers you decide upon, a cascading tiered fountain is a wonderful option when you want to add a refined look to your garden.

Ceramic Pot Fountain

Here’s a fountain you can build fairly easily. You’ll need to purchase some basic tools and materials, like a large ceramic pot, fountain kit, rubber stoppers and drill (if you don’t have one already). After that, go through a few step-by-step guides and build yourself a nifty ceramic pot fountain. The bigger the pot or jar, the larger your fountain will be, of course. Check out different fountain plans, and don’t be afraid to use your imagination.

Birdbath Fountain

Who doesn’t like to see the little birds twittering about the fresh water flowing in and out of a birdbath fountain? While the diehard do-it-yourself crowd out there could build one of these water-based art pieces for themselves, there are tons of premade designs you can purchase and install with relative ease. With a few pointers from your local gardening expert, or the Internet (always check out more than one how-to guide), you can have your birdbath fountain up and running in no time at all. If the birds visiting your backyard could talk, they would surely thank you for your efforts.

Rock-Pond Fountain

A cool rock-pond fountain is something you can buy prefabricated or build yourself. The selections here are endless. In many ways a rock-pond fountain can be similar to a three-tier fountain, although rather than making use of concrete or other classical materials, the fountain is constructed out of rocks (fake rocks for some store-bought options).

Illuminated pools, simple or elaborate designs, and a natural-looking feel are just some of the creative ways a rock-pond fountain can add to the playful or soothing ambiance of your Zen-like garden. With a water pump, some good-size rocks, and a little knowhow, you’ll soon be enjoying one of these wonderful fountains at home for yourself.

It’s something only Improv Everywhere could accomplish — going on to a subway car, making a huge ruckus and not annoying every single person on the train. This time, the team set up a late night-style talk show, complete with desk, comfy chair, backdrop and band. Technically the band was just a guy with a keytar, but we’ll allow it.

Instead of guests, they interviewed random people on the train. Remarkably, there were no screaming matches. It probably helps that they went through Times Square so they could load up on tourists, instead of chugging through Bensonhurst on the D train.

I’m not lazy and I’m no bimbo. The truth is my good looks have caused massive problems for me when it comes to employment, so I’ve made the decision that employment just isn’t for me at the moment. It’s not my fault…I can’t help the way I look.”

Set on a Norwegian talk show, this prank doesn’t involve any ghastly ghouls or zombies in coffins like we’ve seen in the past. It merely consists of two jokesters duping elevator riders via a “voice activated” experience they’re calling “The Intelevator.”

As soon as people enter the duping begins, offering different themes to be had for different riders — such as a Donald Duck experience or a different language setting. Yet as comical as those are, our favorite is the more bizarre ones, like coordinating a floor to the number of claps provided.

Turns out, Zach Galifianakis isn’t just a great comedic actor, he’s also one heck of a nice guy. After learning that an elderly woman he’s known for years had become homeless, he generously found her a small apartment and started paying her rent. Aww!

Galifianakis met 87-year-old laundry worker Elizabeth “Mimi” Haist almost 20 years ago and the two struck up a close friendship. When the actor discovered that Haist was homeless two years ago, he found her a one-bedroom apartment and decided to take care of rent and utilities.

What’s more, Galifianakis plans to take Haist to the premiere of ‘The Hangover Part III’ in L.A. “I’m looking forward to it. I like the excitement of it,” she said. This isn’t the first premiere the two have attended, by the way. They were arm-in-arm at the premieres of ‘The Hangover Part II’ and ‘The Campaign’ as well.

Haist said she loves the glitz and glamour of the events. “If [Galifianakis] in town, he takes me. Otherwise he lets me take a friend. I dress up nice and a friend helps me with my makeup. It’s fun, not something I’ve ever dreamed I’d experience. The limo takes me home afterwards,” she said.

The two first met in 1994 after Galifianakis relocated to L.A. hoping to start his acting career. He moved into an apartment around the corner from Fox Laundry, where Haist volunteered at and lived off tips.

Galifianakis was a regular at the laundromat until the success of the first ‘Hangover’ movie, then he stopped coming by. “Maybe he has his own washer and dryer now,” said Haist.

Some are calling Kellie Pickler‘s freestyle during Monday night’s performance finale on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ the best dance of the ABC show’s 16 seasons. It was a spellbinding performance capable of leaving the toughest hearts shattered to pieces.

Her perfect score of 30 was something of an afterthought, as anything less would have stirred the biggest controversy of the season. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba barely held herself together afterward, finally praising Pickler for sharing her soul on the dance floor. Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman were equally effusive.

“Good dancing engages the brain, great dancing engages the heart,” Goodman said before giving a personal standing ovation.

“What art does it speaks to you, it touches everybody and I’m sure you reached the nation tonight with that performance,” Tonioli added before host Tom Bergeron quipped, “If he gives you a seven tonight, I’ll kill him myself.”

Pickler’s partner Derek Hough struggled with a direction to take the dance, ultimately deciding to ditch the theatrics in favor of challenging physical moves. There were at least two moments during the dance that left one wondering if Pickler was secretly being supported by guide wires or cables. Of course she wasn’t — the lingering lean toward the end and a spin that began a 12-second stretch where her feet never touched the floor were examples of the couple’s physical strength and talent. She held the difficult pose as quietly as a morning pond, despite leaning past 45 degrees.

Pickler and Hough never broke character during the two-minute routine. Their moves were fluid and graceful, while their facial expressions told a story of heartbreak. In the end, both broke into tears — perhaps aware that they’d just delivered the dance of their lives.

Of the four finalists, Pickler and Hough placed second, one point behind Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy, who gained an edge in the relay dance. Pickler’s quickstep also earned a perfect score, and her total for the night was 64. Alexandra Raisman and Mark Ballas finished in third with Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff in a distant fourth.

Disney teen sensation Zendaya seems to be Pickler’s only true competition going into Tuesday’s results show. She’s matched Pickler move for move, and her fans have proven to be just as dedicated as Pickler’s. While the actress was splendid on Monday, her finest moments where nowhere near as memorable as Pickler’s perfect freestyle.

‘Man of Steel’ is almost here, and the marketing is now kicking into full gear with this final trailer. Here, we get better look at General Zod’s sidekick Faora (Antje Traue), and a hint that Superman and Lois Lane’s relationship will be a key factor in the movie. And what’s up with the skeletons?

Each new trailer makes this movie look bigger, crazier, and more impressive than the trailer before, and if it can deliver on the promise of this footage, we may be looking at the blockbuster of the summer. ‘Man of Steel’ hits theaters June 14. Here’s the film’s synopsis:

While thoughts go out to those affected, plenty of video of the tornado has emerged to show just how catastrophic the event was.

Usually, we only care about the pommel horse when the Summer Olympics roll around and we pretend we’re all experts in gymnastics.

Well, this Japanese video is about to change all of that.

In this clip, a pair of men put a unique and clever spin on riding the pommel horse. Basically, it’s everything you wished you could do when you were forced to take gymnastics in middle school.

Hmm, who knows – maybe this will catch on and someone will try to pull this off on the uneven bars. Then, we’ll really be impressed.

The number one problem in Venezuela is figuring out how to go number two. The South American country has been vexed with the worst thing that can happen to any society – it’s dealing with a toilet paper shortage.

To fend off the impending disaster, Venezuela is importing 50 million rolls of tissue papered goodness that will be a relief to citizens, not to mention their otherwise chafed backsides.

As for why the country is suddenly looking at a scarcity of tushy aid, economists claim price controls intended to help citizens afford the most basic necessities are responsible. Sure, blame the poor people. That’s what Republicans do, right?

President Nicolas Maduro says anti-government powers are to blame, while the nation’s commerce minister said the shortage is due to “excessive demand” that stems from “a media campaign that has been generated to disrupt the country.” Um, what? This guy sounds crazier than someone who elects not to use seat covers in a bus depot. And he’s the president. Imagine how irate the regular people must be.

Until this mess is taken care of, we wish the people of Venezuela well holding it in. And we also wish them the wisdom not to eat any Mexican food.

An enormous tornado with a debris cloud two miles wide tore through the metropolitan area just south of Oklahoma City on Monday afternoon.

UPDATE 9:28 p.m. EST: At least 51 people were killed in the storm, including seven children from Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore, according to KFOR in Oklahoma City. The news station reported that 75 student and staff were inside the school when the storm struck. Officials said Monday night that the search of the rubble remaining of the school had turned to a recovery mission.

UPDATE 8:33 p.m. EST: At least 37 people have been killed in the storm, according to the local medical examiner. The two-mile wide twister, has been given a preliminary classification of an EF-4 tornado (winds of 166 to 200 mph), according to weather officials. Crews are continuing to search an area of 30 square miles for victims of the powerful storm.

UPDATE 7:49 p.m. EST: ABC News reports that at least 10 people have been killed in the storm in Moore, Okla. today.

UPDATE 7:04 p.m. EST: The AP reports that several children were pulled alive from the wreckage at Plaza Towers Elementary School, in Moore.

UPDATE 6:05 p.m. EST: CNN affiliate KFOR is reporting that people are pulling children out from the rubble of an elementary school in Moore. There is no official word yet on the condition of the children.

The town of Moore suffered tremendous damage as the twister gradually moved east, but it never did reach the downtown area of Oklahoma’s capital city. The National Weather Service had issued a tornado emergency warning for the region, a rarity for such a highly populated area. Schools, houses, businesses and many, many more buildings have been utterly devastated.

The tornado may also have touched down in or near the town of Newcastle, which is where many people who had been evacuated due to Sunday’s storms were sheltered.

In total, more than 171,000 people may have been in the path of the tornado, according to CNN.

Was Taylor Swift grossed out by watching good friend Selena Gomez being pulled in for a kiss hello from Justin Bieber, or was she just being a bestie? There’s a lot going on in a new viral video that shows the pop stars smooching, with Swift sticking her tongue out in apparent disgust.

Swift is passing through a backstage room at Sunday’s (May 19) Billboard Music Awards with Gomez and a red-haired friend by her side, when Bieber spots them and pulls Gomez in. She obliges and the two share an awkward cheek smooch, though it seems Bieber wanted some lip action. He holds Gomez for what looks like a quick heart-to-heart, while Swift and the redhead wait, impatiently trying to tug her away.

Swift’s tongue comes out in a “yuck” face as she looks back to see Gomez embracing her ex-boyfriend. The scene reeks of just-being-nice-in-public body language, but it’s obvious Swift and the redhead become agitated after just a few seconds before the friend starts urging Gomez to keep moving.

Was Swift grossed out by the PDA, or does she know a little bit of the backstory after sharing a few heart-to-hearts with Gomez herself? Gomez and Bieber are officially not a couple at the moment, although they were seen clubbing together in L.A. last week, getting cozy late into the night. Gomez told InStyle magazine that a reconciliation is possible. No need to ask Swift what she thinks of that prospect!

Every day is a good day to be George Strait, but now the superstar has more cause to celebrate his illustrious career than usual. Strait ignited 60 for 60 campaign, pushing to clinch his 60th No. 1 hit before his 61st birthday, which he celebrated over the weekend. The iconic country star hit his goal — and his fellow country artists couldn’t be happier for him.

Strait and his label, MCA, launched the push to get his latest single, ‘Give It All You Got Tonight,’ to the top of the charts. They rolled out the campaign via Facebook and Twitter on Valentine’s Day, calling on country radio stations to play the tune as much as possible.

Before long, country stars like Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Little Big Town, Scotty McCreery and more turned out to help call attention to the goal.

And it worked! Based on Mediabase charts, ‘Give It All You Got Tonight’ clinched the top slot on the country chart for the week of May 12-18. Strait turned 61 on Saturday May 18, so he and his label are calling their campaign a success. Talk about an awesome birthday present!

In honor of Strait’s 61st birthday and 60th No. 1 hit, country artists turned out again to offer up kind words and congratulations. Most stars offered up “Happy Birthday!” messages and a general, “Congratulations on your 60th No. 1 hit!” But a few movers and shakers added personal touches to their warm wishes.

“Nice to be your friend, George,” Paisley told to the camera. “Congratulations!”

“You’re the King of Country Music, hands down,” Gary Allan added to his message.

But of all the congratulations, Eddie Montgomery‘s might have been the most creative. “Hey George, hey man, 60 for 60, that’s awesome! But I’ll tell you — what about going 80 for 80? What about that?” he asked the superstar.

We sure wouldn’t mind seeing Strait go 80 for 80! But for now, we’ll just say congratulations to the King of Country on his 60th No. 1 single.

Jake Owen is nothing if not creative and able to think on the fly — and with his fly down. The singer ripped his pants while performing onstage in Charleston, S.C. on May 17.

It was quite eventful, since he admitted via Twitter that he had gone commando and therefore had to improvise, using his white t-shirt as emergency sash to hold his pants together to avoid really putting on a show.

Owen had a terrific sense of humor about his pants predicament, and came up with a clever yet makeshift solution to a very real problem. He was said to be climbing around to say hello to a fan in the crowd, and that’s when his pants parted at the seams. Necessity is the mother of invention, so he used his shirt to create a bandage of sorts that ended up looking like one of his daughter’s diapers.

Only Jake Owen could make that look good, especially since he is so in shape lately. His female fans were undoubtedly happy to see the singer go shirtless.

One amused fan tweeted: ”Jake Owen split his pants on stage and said, ‘that’s when you know you’re rockin your balls off!’”

The singer himself hit the social media site following the show, writing: “Charleston, SC will never be forgotten. My jeans ripped on stage tonight. Going commando=bad idea. Although, great breeze here. Coastal town.”

“Tonight was totally “nuts” in Charleston,” he joked. We bet he’ll never skip the undies again.

Hot young country newcomer Hunter Hayes got the opportunity of a lifetime when he opened up for superstar Carrie Underwood on her Blown Away Tour this year. He wrapped up his dates with Underwood at a performance in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on Saturday night (May 18) — but she wasn’t going to let him get away without a proper sendoff, pulling an onstage prank that really got his goat.

In the clip above, Hayes is performing as usual when about thirty seconds into it, a goat appears on the large screen to the side of the stage. It can be heard “singing” along with the young performer briefly, then vanishes, only to re-appear and scream a few more wordless lines in unison, much to the delight of the audience.

The prank is part of a strange internet trend called “goating,” in which a screaming goat is randomly added to a musical performance. It’s seemingly been sweeping the world, with a number of viral videos featuring goat versions of top songs. Underwood planned the prank in advance and posted about it to Twitter, writing, “Hunter Hayes’ last show on the #BlownAwayTour = time for pranks!” A couple of minutes later she added a picture of the goat on the screen and wrote, “Need I say more?”

Later that night Underwood posted a link to the fan video of the prank, writing, “Tee hee! Thanks @HunterHayes for being on the road with us! You will be missed!”

Of course, turnabout is fair play; Underwood herself has been goated, along with Taylor Swift, in a couple of hilarious viral videos.

Excited as we were to have Ruben Fleischer’s 2009 film ‘Zombieland’ continued in Amazon’s TV format, via Deadline we’ve learned that Amazon has passed on the ‘Zombieland’ pilot, as well as the musical workforce comedy ‘Browsers.’ Amazon will continue narrowing down its choices of which pilot to take to series, largely based on viewer reception to the various series.

‘Zombieland’ the TV series picked up two weeks after the events of the 2009 film, and featured a cast comprised of Kirk Ward as Tallahassee, Maiara Walsh as Wichita, Tyler Ross as Columbus, and Izabela Vodovic as Little Rock. Original ‘Zombieland’ writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick wrote the pilot and executive produced the show alongside the movie’s producer, Gavin Polone.

We’ll certainly lament that Amazon decided to pass on the pilot, flawed though it might have been, though we’re told that it’s possible another outlet could pick up the ‘Zombieland’ series. See? Deer really do come out of nowhere!

Recently, a public transit driver in western Pennsylvania had an unexpected passenger board the vehicle. The above video shows a deer crashing through the windshield of a public bus and then proceeding to freak out beyond belief. We’re not sure if that’s because of the confined space, the unfamiliar terrain, or because it was seemingly thrust through the window of a gargantuan bus. Luckily, all was fine once the doors were opened.

Kudos to the driver for remaining oddly calm throughout the whole ordeal. Even when the passenger didn’t pay the fare, which we’re told costs a Buck. Come on, we were all thinking it.
