Last month his single "Songs About Trucks" spent three weeks at No. 1. Last week Wade Bowen played a Christmas version of our popular game Five Questions for the chance to have his brand new version of "O Holy Night" be the first Christmas song we play this year. Wade's a good sport. let's be honest, I'm sure he had better things he could've been doing.

Above, hear Wade Play Five Questions: The Christmas Edition. And just in case you'd like to play along -- below are the five questions (no cheating).

  1. What town is the setting for the perennial Christmas classic "It's a Wonderful Life?"
  2. What did Frosty the Snowman have for a nose?
  3. Which traditional Christmas plant is not poisonous?
    A. Poinsettia B. Holly C. Rosemary  D. Mistletoe
  4. How many sides does a snowflake have?
  5. Counting Rudolph, how many reindeer does Santa Clause have?

So, with all the songs out there, how does a band decide which Christmas song to cover? Well, for Wade and his guys it was left to a vote.

"This is a song we chose as a band, says Bowen, "which kinda surprised me. I figured it would be something easier to play. But I was really proud of [the band] they did an incredible job... I was scared to sing [it] but now that we've worked it up, I think it's beautiful and fun to sing."

Big thanks to Wade for playing along with our silly game. Check out his version of "O Holy Night" below, it may be your new favorite Christmas song.
