Tyler Farr fans at his Friday night (Aug. 19) show got a preview of some brand-new music. The country star debuted a new song during his set that night, as part of Brad Paisley's Life Amplified Tour.

Written just six weeks ago, according to Farr, the brand-new track -- likely titled something like "I Kinda Like the Rain" -- premiered in Darien, N.Y. Farr told the crowd at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center that it was the very first time he'd played the new tune live, but you'd never know it: Farr's band rocked the house as fans cheered and Farr showed off his vocal range. Readers can press play on the video above to hear the song and watch Farr's performance.

Farr is currently working on his third studio album, and fellow country star Jason Aldean is producing the record. The two are also good friends, and Farr says that even though Aldean "dishes out quite a bit" of good-natured ribbing, the experience has been great.

“We’re pretty blunt with each other, and we’re both smart-you-know-whats, but we have fun with each other,” Farr says, “and that’s what makes country music special and really gets some good stuff in the studio.”

There is no official word on whether or not this new song will be on Farr's forthcoming album. The artist did not say one way or the other during his Friday night set.

In addition to Farr, Paisley's 2016 Life Amplified Tour also features Maddie & Tae as show openers.
