Which Of These Artists Do You Think Will Be Next To Join The Country Music ‘Hall Of Fame?’ [POLL]
As of May 2001 the current museum is located in downtown Nashville.
The first three inductees were Jimmy Rodgers, Fred Rose and Hank Williams. This past year Kenny Rogers, Bobby Bare and ‘Cowboy’ Jack Clement are the latest inductees. As of now there are 121 artists in the Hall. 16 of these are women and two are groups that include women.
Who will be next? Before I give you some names to pick from, let’s first look at the criteria for eligibility.
According to the CMA, as of 2010, there are three induction categories in the Hall of Fame.
- Modern Era (20 years after they first achieve national prominence)
- Veterans Era (45 years after they first achieve national prominence)
- Non-Performer, Songwriter, and Recording and/or Touring Musician active prior to 1980.
