Whiskey Myers' "Firewater" was without a doubt one of the top albums of the past three years. Just their second album, it solidified the East Texas rockers in a lot of people minds as a true band, worth their salt. But with one great album comes the expectation to follow it up, not always an easy thing to do.

The first single off the upcoming project is "Home," and I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't too wild about it at first. But as it goes, sometimes it takes hearing a song a few times to appreciate it. Guess what? I really like it now, a lot.

So, if the lead single, and the teaser videos the guys are releasing are any indication of how good the album is, there's no doubt "Early Morning Shakes" will be a superb and fitting follow up to "Firewater."
