Xcel Energy Workers Heading To Virginia To Help Restore Power After Hurricane Sandy
Xcel energy will be sending workers from Texas and New Mexico to help restore power after Hurricane Sandy left millions without it.
Xcel Energy will be sending 30+ employees to Virgina in order to help restore power to the millions of customers in the area.
After Hurricane Sandy swept through the North East it left millions of people without power. Appalachian Power who provides electricity to 1 million customers in West Virginia requested the help of Xcel Energy, and Riley Hill of Xcel agreed to help.
Hill told ConnectAmarillo.com “We feel for the thousands of Virginians who are suffering the impacts of this storm, and we know if we were affected by a natural disaster , other companies would help us.”
