A California Man Was Arrested For Allegedly Eating Cats!

A California man is behind bars after evidence led police to think the man was eating domestic cats.

Jason Luis Wilmert, 36, from Oildale, a suburb in  Bakersfield, California was arrested when neighbors of his called police after they heard cats crying and screeching from his home. When police arrived at Wilmert's home police were shocked to say the least at what they had found.

Investigators found evidence that lead them to think Wilmert was capturing cats around the neighborhood, taking them to his home and storing them so he could then kill, cook, then eat the cats. Investigators could not say much about the case since it is still under investigation.

Wilmert has been charged and booked for animal cruelty and using a pet or domesticated animal for food.
