Crazy story out of Philadelphia, a 7 year-old first grader took heroin to school, the result was 20 students taken to a local Philly hospital to be examined.

The Amarillo Police Department are currently questioning a man who, earlier today, made a terroristic threat in downtown Amarillo.

There seems that new laws are always being put into place but, ironically, none ever get taken off the books. I'm not taking about laws that a few years or even a decade old. I'm talking about the ones that have been on the books for centuries.

According to a Police Report, Sunday Morning at 3:29am, APD Officers were dispatched to Gebo's at 4550 Canyon Drive when a Burglary alarm was set off.

A armed robbery occurred last night the Toot N Totum at 4041 S. Washington.

The only school shooting that has occurred in Amarillo was nearly 20 years ago at Palo Duro High school. Thankfully for the ones present there were no casualties and only a few were injured. Even though it was a long time ago, no one who was there can forget the terrifying and hopeless experience.

The Amarillo Police Department are warning folks in Amarillo about a current phone scam that is going on. Police are reporting that this afternoon 20 people have been contacted by phone or text from a phone number with an 806 area code, claiming that their Mastercard has been compromised.

It happens every year and today marks the day that the City of Amarillo is rounding up folks with outstanding warrants.  If you have an outstanding warrant in the Amarillo Municipal Courts, it doesn't matter what it is for, they are looking for you.

On Monday the Texas Plains Federal Credit Union was robbed. Police have released photos from the surveillance tape of the suspect and are needing help finding the bank robber.
