Most of the time, you wouldn't venture into a random cave without a name, but this cave made its name without having a name.  This cave has been open to the public since 1939 and is a National Natural Landmark.  The Cave Without a Name is a natural limestone solutional cave.

It's a cave that forms when acidic water dissolves rock

It takes 126 steps to descend into the cave and find yourself 80 feet below the ground.  Depending on your accustomed temperature, it's 66 degrees year-round in the Cave Without a Name.

This has got to be the perfect place to escape from the Texas summer heat.  Not only is this cave full of natural beauty, but one of the rooms in the Cave Without a Name is the beautiful Queen's Throne Room.

Special events are held in this amazing room including concerts. Each year the Cave Without a Name hosts Music in the Cave with 12-15 performances.  Just imagine the acoustics created by this wonder of nature.  Not only is this a great place for music, but can you imagine getting married in a place this beautiful?  This would make the perfect backdrop.

When my 3-year-old Grandson first visited the cave, upon entry to the first room where the music events are held, his words were "Wow," and a few seconds later, "Castle!"
